About Me

Aarti Patel

Art gives me immense pleasure. I want to pass on this pleasure to everyone by means of my paintings. Watercolour gives me patience, happiness and peace. It is a form of meditation which calms my mind. It is the food for my soul. What started out as a hobby has now become much more than passion. I can not imagine my life without Art. It gives meaning to my life.

I am Aarti Patel, an artist based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. I had interest in art right from childhood but could not take formal training for it. I have been working with various media in painting and art for the past few years. Watercolour is my preferred medium.

I regularly work in an outdoor setting, which is called “Plein Air”. I like to challenge myself, by working at the spot rather than working in a studio.
